CMP Launches Wellness Program for its Employees
CMP Advanced Mechanical Solutions reinforces commitment to their employees’ well being by forming a Wellness Committee

Châteauguay, Quebec – The Wellness Committee launched CMP’s Wellness Program aimed at promoting the health of its employees. The program will consist of supporting and scheduling activities to better identify and prevent possible individual and workplace health risks for increased job satisfaction and overall better quality of life.

The Wellness Committee is made up of CMP employees from various departments dedicated to serve as ambassadors and spokespeople for employees in the program. |

They will plan and coordinate health-related activities and collect feedback from employees to ensure the activities are meeting their needs.
Activities scheduled thus far were based on data collected on the reality of CMP’s employees and their workplace. The main issues identified included psychological, musculoskeletal, digestive and cardio-vascular problems. Professionals from related health services attended the launch held at CMP’s Quebec facility to answer questions about the upcoming activities. |

Employees were able to signup for a Health Check-up scheduled in January, in collaboration with the Clinique de Médecine Industrielle, to undergo a series of tests such as cholesterol, glucose level and blood pressure. The Fondation des Maladies Mentales will be hosting a Stress Conference in February aimed at educating employees on how to recognize stress signals and how to cope and prevent problems of this nature. Also in February, CMP will launch the “0-5-30 Program”, in collaboration with representatives from the CSSS Jardins-Roussillon, aimed at helping employees to quit smoking (0), eat five portions of fruits & vegetables a day (5) and do at least 30 minutes exercise on a daily basis (30). The benefits of this program have proven to prevent cardio-vascular problems, diabetes 2 and cancer. |

A kinesiologist is also available on an ongoing basis by appointment to evaluate an employees’ physical health and personalize a training program which employees’ can fulfill using CMP’s clean, well-equipped fitness center.
The CMP Wellness Program is a corporate initiative. They kicked off the program at their facility in Châteauguay, Quebec, where the company’s corporate headquarters also resides. CMP is in the process of evaluating their other facilities in order to launch similar programs later this year. |
