CMP Awarded UIC Supplier Award

Universal Instruments Corporation (UIC) awards CMP for valued-added design & engineering services

Chateauguay, Quebec - During UIC’s 2007 Supplier Day, CMP Advanced Mechanical Solutions received an award for “2006 Outstanding Supplier – Outstanding Value Engineering” for their cost reduction efforts on UIC product programs.  This award was a collective effort between CMP’s New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design teams of highly skilled engineers.  CMP supported UIC on a couple of product programs to improve product designs for manufacturability while maintaining the look and function of the product UIC wanted to achieve.

Many complex components were altered in order to lower costs for production and increase repeatability. The concepts were shared with UIC throughout the process to ensure that the design intent was not compromised.
